Children

For children in Kindergarten through Grade 2, takes place every Sunday (except Palm
Sunday & Easter) at the 11:00AM Mass.

Religious Education Classes:

Pre-K and Kindergarten (optional for 4 and 5-year-olds) and Levels 2 through 6 (usually
2nd - 6th graders) meet in small groups weekly during the school year for one hour.

Level 1 (1st graders) children participate in PEP (Parent Educator Program) with their
parents.

Levels 2-7 Confirmation takes place in the Fall of Level 8. Those who are confirmed are
then welcomed into Life Teen.

Classes are taught by adult volunteer Catechists who are trained and supported
throughout the year. All groups meet in Catechists' homes.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT REGISTRATION 2008

If you are a Holy Cross parishioner and have a child beginning First Grade in September 2008,
or if you are NEW to Holy Cross and have children in grades 1-7 in public school,
please note the following schedule for registration.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION for 2008-2009

Mon-Fri May 5th-9th 10:00am-12:15pm and 1:15pm-4:00pm
Mon-Fri May 12th-16th 10:00am-12:15pm and 1:15pm-4:00pm
(note: The Parish Office closes for lunch between 12:15pm and 1:00pm)
and
Wed., May 7th 8:00pm-8:30pm

Registrations will be taken in the Religious Ed. Office in the Parish Center. Please bring a copy of
your child’s Baptismal Certificate and, for those already in Religious Ed., a letter regarding previous
instruction from your former parish. The annual fee is $95 for one child and $170 for two or
more children. This should be paid at the time of registration or a payment plan can be arranged.
If circumstances prohibit payment of the fee, please speak to a member of the Pastoral Team-
Do Not let financial difficulties keep you from enrolling your child in Religious Education.

Please Note: We offer a wonderful program for 4-5 year olds that is optional. For information,
please ask at the time of registration, or call Dana or Celinda at 265-2200 ext. 11.

To all families currently enrolled in Religious Education

Re-Registration materials will be mailed to you in April. Please watch for this mailing!!

Please call Dana or Celinda if you have not received it by the end of April. All children who plan
on continuing in our program must be re-registered every year.
(all children going from Level 7 to Confirmation receive a different form).
Please take care of the re-registration form as soon as you receive your materials and
return them to Parish of the Holy Cross by May 16th.
