| Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion Purpose: To assist with the distribution of Holy Communion at Mass and at Communion services; some also bring Communion to homebound. Time commitment: One four-hour training day to qualify. One additional four- hour training day for those interested in ministry to the sick. Serve at Masses as assigned on a fifteen-week schedule. Contact: Ingrid Hanley Finance Committee Purpose: In consultation with the Business Manager, reviews the revenue and expenses of the parish, then advises the Pastor on sound fiscal direction. Time commitment: Four meetings per year. Additional time for research around a project is possible. Contact: Loretta Tarter (631) 265-2200 Fund Raising Committee Purpose: To plan and host various events intended to generate funds needed to help support parish ministries and operations. Strive to make certain that all fund raisers help build community spirit within the parish. Time commitment: General committee meetings lasting 1 –2 hours about six times per year. Additional meetings as needed in connection with specific fund raising events. Contact: Tom McCulloch or Paul Calabro Hospitality Committee Purpose: Living up to the motto “Let all be Welcomed as Christ,” assists at Baptisms and serves refreshments at parish functions in the spirit of fellowship. Time commitment: Average 2 – 3 hours per month during the busiest time of the year, September – May.
