We Remember, We Celebrate, We Believe
"Stay with Us Lord"
            (Luke 24:29)
Introduction
After the Resurrection of Jesus many of the disciples were confused about His death on the Cross
and reports that He had risen from the dead.  Two of them leave Jerusalem and head toward
Emmaus, all the time talking about what happened.  Jesus joins them and begins to teach them
about the Scripture passages that foretold these events.

As they get to their place of lodging they ask Jesus to stay with them for it is getting toward
evening.  When Jesus joins them at table, He takes bread and blesses it and gives it to them.  It is
in this moment of Eucharist that they recognize Him and He immediately vanishes from their sight.

In order to foster a greater understanding and appreciation of the Eucharist, we present this
instruction on the Mass.  Jesus promised to remain with us always, yes, until the end of time.  In the
Eucharist Jesus remains with us in a beautiful and real way, both in Word and in the Sacrament of
His Body and Blood.
